Summer Camp 2026 Information
Parks & Recreation is excited to offer a variety of camps for ages 2-12 years old. Below you will find the camps offered during Summer 2026. All camps are located at the Villa Park Recreation Center, 320 E. Wildwood Ave, Villa Park.
Registration Information
Registration opens for residents on Wednesday, March 18 at 8:30 am and non-residents on Wednesday, March 25. Registration will be available online or at the Villa Park Recreation Center. Please Note: New Resident & Non-Resident fees.
Please note: registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. When a camp session is at full capacity, you will be placed on a waitlist. Spots will be offered in the order of the waitlist as space becomes available. Registration deadline is Thursday BEFORE each camp session begins by 4:00 pm.
Key Information
*No refunds for ALL 10 WEEK DISCOUNT RATE, ALL 10 WEEK SUNRISE or ALL 10 WEEK SUNSET camps. A full refund will be issued if requested within five business days prior to the start of the next session. A 20% administrative fee will be applied if the request is received within four or fewer business days prior to the start of the session. A camp information packet will be emailed prior to the start of camp which includes the Parent Handbook. A paper version will also be available upon request at the Villa Park Recreation Center. Please make sure camp information is turned in before your camper's first day of camp. If your child has any special needs or allergies, please notify us at registration so we can work together to provide your child with a great summer camp experience.
Payment Plan Available
Families may choose to pay in full at the time of registration or enroll in a payment plan.
A payment will be due at the time of registration to secure your child’s spot. The remaining balance will be automatically deducted from the payment method on file on May 21 and June 4.
Payment plans are available for both full summer (10-week) registrations and weekly camp options.
Payment plans must be selected at the time of registration and are available for registrations completed on or before May 11.
Jr. Adventure & Adventure Camp
- Jr. Adventure Camp: Ages 5-7
- *Must have completed Kindergarten
- Adventure Camp: Ages 8-12
Give your child a summer experience they won’t forget! Our summer camp is packed with fun outdoor activities, arts and crafts, science experiments, sports, weekly field trips, and afternoons at the Jefferson pool (weather permitting). Please send your child with a non-perishable lunch, snacks, and water bottle each day. These ages are specific to each camp. Requests to participate in a camp not in the child’s age range cannot be accommodated.
Extended Care
Regular Day Camp operating hours are 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Sunrise and Sunset Camp are available for campers needing to be dropped off or picked up outside of the regular operating hours. Sunrise Camp begins at 7:30 am and Sunset will remain open until 6:00 pm. Please note: Fees must be paid prior to attending Sunrise or Sunset Camp.

Please be sure to provide additional snacks for your child and inform your child of transportation arrangements. Villa Park Recreation will only release campers to those listed on the information sheet for both Day Camp and Sunrise/Sunset Camp. Please be sure that the information provided is accurate throughout the summer.
Swimming
Campers will be shuttled each week to Jefferson Pool to swim on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. In an effort to get campers to the pool as quickly as possible, please send your Jr. or Adventure camper in their swimsuit on pool days. Please pack dry clothes in their backpacks as campers will be allowed to change after swimming if they desire. Campers must be able to change themselves in and out of their clothes. Staff are not allowed to assist. Please practice with your child prior to camp starting!
- Don’t forget a towel and sunscreen.
- A swim test is given to every camper on their first day of camp by a Jefferson Pool Manager or Lifeguard.
- Please make sure your child wears sunscreen each day to camp.

Mini Adventure Camp
- Mini Adventure: Ages 2-3
- Mini Adventure: Ages 4-5

Campers are split into age groups 2–3-year-olds and 4–5-year-olds. Requests to participate in a camp not in the child’s age range cannot be accommodated. All campers MUST be the proper age by the first day of camp! Campers 4 and 5 years old must be bathroom independent. Pull ups not permitted.
Introduce your child to camp in a relaxed atmosphere. Each camp session includes crafts, stories, and indoor and outdoor games. Weekly themes will create a fun-filled camp atmosphere to ensure your child’s summer is filled with smiles and laughter. Campers must bring nonperishable snacks, lunch, and water bottles.

In an effort to get campers to the pool as quickly as possible, please send your Mini Adventure camper in their swimsuit on pool days. Start your camper’s day early with Sunrise Camp! Only for Mini Adventure Camp. No Camp Friday, July 3.

Afternoon Fun
Need a longer day? Afternoon Fun provides additional supervised time filled with games, crafts, outdoor play, and relaxed group activities following Mini Adventure Camp. Campers enrolled in Mini Adventure Camp will remain on side between 1:00-1:30 pm for a supervised transition period before Afternoon Fun begins. Please send your participant with a snack and water bottle. 4 and 5-year olds must be bathroom independent. Pull ups not permitted.
