Project Updates
| Date | Description |
|---|---|
| December 13, 2024 | The only remaining site work is the completion of punch list items, which is ongoing. |
| December 6, 2024 | Final asphalt surface paving has been completed. |
| November 22, 2024 | The placement of longitudinal joint sealer was completed this week. Parkway restoration efforts, including placement of sod, were also completed this week. Final asphalt surface paving was anticipated to take place this past week, but was delayed due to weather. That paving is now expected to be completed next week, weather permitting. |
| November 15, 2024 | Paving of a preliminary layer of asphalt, or “binder course”, was completed this week. Parkway restoration efforts are now underway, with placement of sod expected to be completed by the middle of next week. Final asphalt surface paving will follow, weather permitting. |
| November 8, 204 | Milling and grading of the roadway and intersections t is nearly complete. Paving of a preliminary layer of asphalt, or “binder course”, is expected to take place early next week. It is recommended that residents park on side streets outside of the construction area during the workday to avoid any potential delays in getting vehicles out of driveways. Parkway restoration efforts will follow completion of the binder course, and final surface paving will follow parkway restoration. |
| November 1, 2024 | Construction of new concrete curb and gutter, driveway aprons, and sidewalk on the west side of Wisconsin is now complete. Most asphalt driveway aprons on both sides of Wisconsin are also complete, with only a few still remaining. Milling and grading of the roadway and intersections is expected to begin on Monday, November 4, 2024, weather permitting. To accommodate this work, there will be rolling closures of intersections next week. Weather permitting, Plymouth and Wisconsin will be closed on Monday, Sunset and Wisconsin on Tuesday, and Ridge and Wisconsin on Wednesday. If the weather delays work on one or more intersections then the actual days may change, but the order in which they are closed should remain the same. Daily detour routes will be posted for each closure. In addition to the intersection closures, the milling and grading operations will also impact motor vehicle traffic on Wisconsin between intersections. It is recommended that residents park on side streets outside of the construction area during the workday to avoid any potential delays in getting vehicles out of driveways. |
| October 18, 2024 | Construction of new concrete curb and gutter, driveway aprons, and sidewalk on the east side of Wisconsin was completed this week. Construction of asphalt driveway aprons on the east side will take place later in the project. Driveways on the east side are expected to be re-opened early next week, at which time construction efforts will move to the west side. Residents on the west side will be without driveway access while this work is taking place, beginning tentatively on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, and will be allowed to park on area streets overnight during this time. Residents on the west side will receive notice of the loss of driveway access in advance of the actual date by means of paper notices delivered to their doors. |
